Week 9, # 23

I have also learned about a lot of the new tools out on the web available to me. I am certain that when creative opportunities come my way, both here at work and personally, I will think about what is out there that may either simplify, and/or enhance how I go about doing what I need to do.Mostly, I learned that this new 2.o technology is not all that difficult to learn to use, and I should not hesitate to get out there and be adventurous!

Week 9, # 22

I created an net account and searched for few subjects, was amazed to see so many subjects listed, not just IT or computer books but books like knitting, music etc
Its seem I am very lucky to download free e books and downloaded lot of books. Until now I have not come across any difficulties but thanx for giving this information. Your info is going to helps me a lot.

Week 9 # 21

I thought I knew. I thought I knew what a podcast was. And then I watched one. It was a ninja explaining podcast in a way I had not seen or heard of before. My search for a podcast of interest began at Yahoopodcasts and ended at podcastalley. I subscribed to thisone through bloglines. Now, I can listen to it on my computer, or download it to my mp3player and take it on-the-go! Pretty cool.

Week 9 # 20

I had viewed the site, once or twice, from afar, over someone's shoulder. I had imagined the way to Youtube, but had not been before now. Wow! You can search under countless categories for the video clip that will suit you.But it may take some time...you'll find clips that are boring, slow, and obviously made with someone else in mind. And, you'll find clips that entertain and instruct, home-videos, music videos, and current-event video clips, and much more!

Week 8, # 19

Of course, then there's Facebook - apparently everyone's on this and I can't understand why... after joining it!!!!... pretty much the only time I go into it these days is when I check my current games of scrabble - that's the only thing that really interests me in it, and apparently one of the only things you need to use your brain for... all people seem to do in this application is poke, throw things at you, invite you to join causes (which apparently means all you have to do is sign up to, you don't have to support the cause in any other way - don't quite understand that.

Week 8, # 18

Week 7 # 17

I added my blog entry on the favorite blog, surfed up a bit on favorite books, places etc This virtual sandbox has many of the same qualities. The ACL explore and play with wiki's is great excercise where you can play at creating a wiki. You can bury your mistakes and make new ones!

Week 7, # 16

http://booklovers.pbwiki.com I really enjoyed this exercise. I went to booklovers and I signed up and it allowed me to add some books and also rate the books. There just were not enough fiction for me so I had to work it out. I didn't have to edit anyones reviews because I thought they did the books justice. The other wiki sites didn't really do anything for me so I'm just going to stick with the bookslovers this go round

Week 6, # 15

Taking all of the info in on 2.0 had my head spinning. I'm nervous about keeping up with all of the changes that are going to come even if we don't want them to. I thought I was scared when we first put computers in the library, but now I know we could not live without them. I thought this was going to only affect the librarians the most, however I was wrong it's going to get us all. I just can't believe all of the information that is out on computers now.

Week 6, # 14

Fourth of July Text - http://www.fireworkstext.com

Blogs are still new and people are learning new ways to use them and the other internet tools, so it could be expected that technical topics would be popular on technorati. Entertainment is also a big part of the internet, and technorati would be a good way to find the latest videos and entertainment news.

Week 6, # 13

Del.icio.us is a great tool for bookmarking sites with information that you want to be able to retrieve later. While I was trying out the site, I came accross a couple of articles that I wanted to come back to. This motivated me to set up a Del.icio.us account. I have bookmarked about 10 sites

Week5, # 12

The Rollyo is great for narrowing searches to only those sites that have relevant information. I looked at the Rollyo search rolls mentioned in the instructions and had good results from the searches. I searched Travel sites and added them to my scroll.

Week 5 # 11

When I started putting together the books It looks awesome to see many of the covers and to just click on a cover and read about the books. I couldn't stop adding books I was shooting for 100 books.

Week 5 # 10

I really, really, enjoyed this lesson.I couldn't decide what type of mood I was in or what I should let the image character to wear. Ohhhhhhh or if I should let her sit on a jeep or stand on the beach..

Week 4 # 9

I found that Technorati (which was said to be a popular blog finding tool) was easy for me. I just went to Technorati and found out all the hot info on entertainment. At first I was getting confused and felt I was going around in circles (but I got it) I just can't believe all the info that is out there. How have I been living without knowing how to do this. It has saved me so much time and energy.

Week 4 # 8

Set up an bloglines account the link is:

I really enjoyed this exercise. It is going to make it alot easier to find out all the latest news and events quicker. It makes you feel like u have the news at your fingertips (I guess you do) When Ever you want or Where Ever you are. I set up all the feeds that were interesting to me

Week 3, # 7

Technology.......... Oh what a mess when it doesn't feel like working. I really like that we have come so far with technology. The only thing is when it's down and out, it's down and out. I rely on my cell phone so much and sending text-messages that it's unbelievable. It's really bad when you relay on something so bad and you are lost without it.

Week 3, # 5, 6

This was really hard for me I wasn't to sure what I was doing. After several do overs I finally made it. I guess if u have been doing this for a while then it would be easy for u. I won't stop trying because I want to post pic's of what I love the most. Can't tell you right now, you'll just have to wait and see if I figure it out. Bye.

Week 2, # 4

I really enjoyed networking with people. I like talking with people who have the same interest that I do and I don't have to find out later I wasted my time and they hate rugby and they were just entertaining me. Iset up a account to network with people who like watching rugby and in a matter of seconds I was able to email with hundreds of people. I guess this is the way the universe looks with all of the networking that is going on. I looked at sites like Bebo and Myspace, and will sure continue using it.
